Labor 2025

Das Labor mit Utopieverdacht fand vom 10. bis 17. August 2025 auf der Burg Rothenfels statt. Hier ein paar Eindrücke.

Das Labor wurde von Katrin Bernreiter graphisch recordend begleitet. Schau an!

Auch Werner Herzog hat heuer das LUV besucht und ist nun auch endlich dazu gekommen uns seinen Bericht zukommen zu lassen. Er meinte, wir dürften ihn sehr gerne mit euch teilen:

Dear Edwin, I want to thank you very much for inviting me to the LUV. I was extremely intrigued and couldn’t wait to see this Burg Rothenfels for myself. Here are some of my personal highlights:

The Drift was a big highlight for me. We got to wander around the village and into the forest, while wearing headphones and there was this wonderful playlist curated by Anne. We got to witness the majesty of the vast tapestry of stars above us. I saw a shooting star that reminded me of the fleeting beauty. The tunes of the playlist allowed me to delve deep into the vastness of my soul, where it was contrasted with the gaping wound that came from having consumed the food, without enriching it with the Miaouch Hot-Sauce, that would have given me at least a hint of joy.

On the days where it was particularly hot, and my thoughts moved away from an Economy of Hope, to one of sweat and anguish and collective loss. I found solace when Julian turned on the sprinkler on the grass. I would let the spritzes of water hit my face rhythmically, in a way that reminded me of the way god spits on us, when he puts us on this carousel of chaos, where we are accompanied by life and death.

Then I got to be part of a game of Blood on the Clocktower, where I fell into this wonderful spiral of paranoia and uncertainty, revealing that the only thing saving us from falling into complete chaos, was a thin layer of what we mockingly refer to as a civilization. Although after having gotten to know this group, I am not quite certain if the LUV would agree with my assessment.

They later took inspiration from lovely readings of Hyphen, that were being held in the mornings on the grass, where a commune lives in relative harmony, which I must admit, was very nourishing for my soul. Future scenarios about «artificial intelligence» were discussed, although if you humbly ask me, I would say that all intelligence is artificial.

I got to do a Traumreise, where I got to relax, which meant a bit of respite, from the torment that comes from inhabiting a human body. In that Traumreise, I got to visit my inner council. I will allow myself a bit of privacy, by not telling you who the people were, but let’s just say that there was a penguin present.

There was the watching of this programme called Princess Charming and I was particularly delighted with the contestant named Nessie. At one point I turned to Laura and I said: “I’m enjoying myself immensely and am delighting in our little gathering, but I’m a bit embarrassed to ask this. I have a feeling that Nessie could be a lesbian?” To which Laura replied, “Werner, they are all lesbians.” I am thankful that she was very patient with me at this moment.

People were sharing feelings and expertises, ideas and discussed worries. There were offerings of Spocht, of Bird Watching, and of singing.

These are trying and difficult times and even though there doesn’t seem to be a lot of room for utopia in the world right now I am happy and proud to say, that these wonderful and amazing people have built a little utopia for themselves, that we now all get to carry home in our memories.
